Well folks, its officially been over ONE week with our Zion Thomas and I couldn’t be more in love. If you stopped in to check out my nursery reveal [HERE] or if you are a follower of mine on Instagram [HERE] then you probably already know a little bit about our traumatic experience with Zion’s birth. I would love to tell the birth story someday, and I suspect that day will come sooner than later but I want to thank so many of you that have reached out offering words of encouragement and sympathies.

So even though the majority of you have already tuned your radios to everything Christmas and your houses are dressed in the greens and reds that come with the Holiday season, I’m over here just trying to relish in the now of this fall season before baby #4 comes and life turns topsy turvey for the next year.

But here’s the truth friends…influence is powerful, while popularity is common. So are we really being “influencers” if we’re all following what’s most common, what’s most popular?

We are allowing ourselves to drown in disqualification because we simply compare ourselves to the best life of someone on social media. But let me tell you something, what you think as an imperfection, the Father see's as a tool of perfection to glorify His Kingdom.

If you've been following my Instagram stories lately you've seen that I've been struggling with this whole "influencer" game. Over the past couple of months as I've dedicated my mornings to hearing God's voice I began to feel a shift within me.

Have you ever been in one of those seasons where you just have no idea what you're doing? Like you're sitting around, with the full expectation that something great is about to happen but you have no idea what it is? And while you wait, you have no idea how to prepare or know what you're even supposed to look for? 

I'm sharing one of our new favorite winter time activities & why this has been such life giving activity for me (and the kids).
