Meet Tessa …
the woman behind Kindred Homestead. Around here, we believe homes are meant to be lived in, not just looked at. Which is good news… because between four kids, a husband always in the middle of a project, and a 1920s Craftsman that creaks with every season change, “perfect” left the building a long time ago. 😜
What started as a love for old homes and rearranging furniture eventually turned into renovating houses, flipping 14 homes with my husband, and building a life rooted in creating beauty from the ordinary. These days, you’ll usually find me layering patterns, cooking dinner in our tiny 10x10 kitchen, tending to the garden, romanticizing lamp light like it’s a personality trait, or convincing myself that one more thrifted chair is definitely the missing piece.
Kindred Homestead is more than home decor to me. It’s about creating spaces that feel warm, meaningful, welcoming, and deeply lived in. A place where family gathers, traditions are built, and everyday life feels worth slowing down for.
