I started this entire makeover knowing I wanted THESE curtains from Two Page Curtains. They have so many quality centered window treatments and there are so many to choose from. The minute I hung these it was an instant room facelift.

I knew I wanted some sort of wall texture (whether that be vertical paneling, recessed paneling, or board and batten) and I wanted wallpaper. As I did a little more soul searching I ultimately came back to recessed paneling for it’s sheer timelessness and the likelihood that it would have been found in a home during this era.

Found Friday is here! These are a couple of random things I have been obsessing over the last few weeks or things I hope to purchase in the coming days!

Let me try and explain where everything started to unravel for us….

The #1 question we got at the open house for this 1920’s English Tudor that we renovated last winter was, “what paint colors did you chose for the walls and trim?”

These faux topiaries have been the perfect addition to our porch makeover that we started at the beginning of the summer

Over the last couple of years we have begun to feel a sort of shift happening in our hearts. It was small at first, very subtle. But as the months and years continued the both of us began to sense more and more that God was shifting us in direction of a different location all together.

We’ve flipped and renovated 13 homes in the last 6 years and this is the first year we have actively decided to take a step back from it, here’s why…

It’s actually called “Grandma’s Peach Cobbler.” Which is why I picked it to make! I love my peach cobbler to have more of a breading versus a granola topping so that’s why I chose this specific recipe!

Backstory….we bought our 1920s craftsman home 5.5 years ago and one of the things that convinced me that we needed to buy this house was the front porch! They just don’t make them like this anymore!

For the last 3 years we have acted as a full-service design studio, while maintaining and renovating multiple properties on our own, and creating content for our online platforms. And although all these things have been dreams fulfilled for us, they are not sustainable to the season of life we are in as a family.
