Making Your House A Home With The Perfect Florals

Everybody always asks me how I got into my love for interior design/decor and while that is probably another story for another day, suffice it to say that the minute I had a family of my own it became my mission to make any house we lived in a home. To me, making the place we live in feel like a home is just as important as the clothes that I wear, or the food that I eat; To me...it's everything.

I have always loved aesthetically appealing spaces and so when I began translating that passion into my own home, I found a sensation I had never felt before. The idea that bringing one item into my home could liven up the entire space was exhilarating to me. And that's just what the perfect floral arrangement can do in your home too! So with Spring being so close, I decided to jump start the process in my home by heading to my favorite grocery store (Harvest Market) and buying these beauties.

Making Your House A Home With The Perfect Florals

What I used for this floral arrangement:

1. White tulips
2. White hydrangeas
3. Some other plant that looks like a Eucalyptus "silver drop" plant :)

What I love about florals is...you can't really mess up! Just go to town! Chop away and throw "stuff" together. While shooting this, I probably did 3 or 4 different arrangements until finally I found the vision in my head of what I wanted. If you couldn't tell from every other interior decor post I've made, I REALLY like white! I think that it adds such a subtle beauty to a space. I know a lot of people like to add REAL color when it comes to flowers but I think this look gives off a much different feel. I've always liked that "fresh and clean" look! But it's your space...do what YOU want!

I found these kitchen canisters at Target for super cheap and I've always used this one as my "cookie jar" for the kids but I just saw it out and thought...that would be the perfect holder for these flowers! So I took off the top and VOILA! This now sits on my favorite wood tray in the middle of our dining room table.

For this arrangement, I used a hammered glass water jug that now sits in the center of our coffee table in the living room. I love the way the kids look at the flowers, they think they are fascinating. Not to mention, they love to smell them from time to time.

Seriously, making your home can be so easy and super inexpensive!!! Try out these floral arrangements for yourself and see what a mood lifter it can be for your home!

Thanks for stopping by! xoxo, Tessa
