Kirby Christmas Home Tour
I have been really contemplating this Christmas what I was going to do with my decor. Last year I made the red tones pop a lot and this year I just wanted to keep it more simple; tone it down a bit and decorate with more neutral tones with a "hint" of red here and there. I am super excited about how it turned out!
If you missed my Christmas decor from last year be sure to check it out here.
I, of course had a blast playing around with everything. I probably made my husband go crazy with how many times I changed things around but I can't help it!
I'll let the pictures speak for themselves! I'd love to hear what you think in the comments section below!
Christmas Home Tour
A lot of times people will ask where I get certain pieces and to be honest with you, I either create them myself or go junking/antiquing for them. I like to pick up fun little nick-nack things at places like Goodwill or Salvation Army.
Here are some of my favorite things I've found this Christmas season!
This has literally been one of my favorite purchases of the year! You want to know where I got it? FACEBOOK! You know how Facebook has that new shopping feature, well it connected me with a local maker that takes 100 year old barn wood and makes it into furniture! It's amazing! And it fits perfectly in this space!
Well first, there's these wreaths but that's for another post (that I have yet to make) but these old cabinet doors I got from an antique shop in Paxton, IL. The owner had a really hard time parting with them because she loved them so much but I offered her a good deal and VOILA they found a home in my living room!
Everyone loves a good ol' Mason jar right? I had these packed away in the attic and found these fun "chalkboard" stickers at Michael's Craft Store and used a paint pen to write some fun things! This was probably the biggest hit with the kids...can you tell why? :)
I found this old ladder on the side of the road this summer and finally found a good place for it this season. I made this advent calendar last year with something different to do each day written on the back and I never used it! So here we are a year later and it's still poppin'. I found this cute little set of tiny clothespins and string at Michael's.
Last year I made this "Merry Christmas" sign from some stock paper I picked up at....Michael's and some left over red paint. Seriously the simplest craft ever but one of my absolute favorites!
Well that's all of my favorites! Here are some more fun pics of the full space! Let me know if you have an questions or comment on your favorite item below!
As always, thanks for stopping by!!
