Flip House Update: One More Week To Go!
It's been a while since I've done a good update here on our flip house, we've had A TON going on here, including a massive announcement that we should be making this week..but that's neither here nor there. We have had a lot of questions and comments about our latest investment property and I'm happy to finally be answering all of them here. We have had a few bumps in the road but are happy to announce that we should be done with this house in a WEEK!!! Yes, you heard that right! ONE week! Guy and I have been working our butts off this past weekend to ensure that everything is ready to go for countertops, backsplash, and floor stain this week.
Here are some of the questions we've gotten a lot of:
"Will you guys be moving to this property once you are done fixing it up?"
No, we won't be. We actually bought this property with the sole intent to flip it and sell it. We have fallen in love with it and the area that it's in but we still have no intentions of living there.
"Will this be your last flip house or are you wanting to do more?"
We definitely are ready for a much needed break, but this will by no means be our last flip. We are excited to continue growing and learning and will absolutely be continuing to do this in the future.
"Are you doing the work yourself?"
No!! We went into this wanting to do as minimal work as possible. That hasn't exactly happened the way we planned and we have jumped in to do more projects than we originally anticipated but we did hire a contractor to carry a large amount of the work load!
"What is your time line?"
This was supposed to be a 6-7 week project, but realistically it will end up being a 9-10 week project. So we hope to be done with all construction this week and have it listed by the end of next week.
These last two months have been extremely stretching and while I've felt like I've been running a marathon, I am incredibly humbled by all that we've learned through this experience.
The pictures you are about to see are ones that I took this weekend but it's honestly so hard to stay up to date on all that's happening when things are changing daily. I wanted to give you a sneak peak of all the rooms (besides the bedrooms) just so you can get a taste of everything that's been done. The final reveal will be much prettier!
