House Update: We've Got An Accepted Offer
Last Friday we announced that we were selling our home here in Champaign (not to be confused with the flip house that will be coming on the market as well). This was definitely a spur of the moment decision, and we honestly had no intentions of selling this house for another 2-3 years. But after we found a beautiful home in a small town about 15 minutes west of here, in the school district that we really want our kids to be in, we decided to jump ship a little earlier than planned and see if we can't make this work.
We literally decided to do that about 2 weeks ago! So we fixed up a few "lose ends" here and put it on the market (that was 3 days ago). I was initially really confident that it would sell rather fast but as the day got closer my self doubt started to creep in and I may have begun to freak out a bit.
The morning it came on the market we got 3 showing requests for that same day (which we DEFINITELY didn't expect) and after multiple offers from various potential buyers we accepted one! We never could have imagined selling our home within 12 hours of listing it and we feel it only confirms our decision to move!
Now on to our next flip :) If everything goes as planned with our buyer, we are supposed to move around the beginning of September! Stay tuned to more pictures of our new house! We can't wait to get started on yet another flip journey. Also...our flip house should be going on the market this Friday so keep your eyes out for that!
