Going For The Bold & Gold: Bedroom Color & Wall Lamps

When we planned on refinishing our master bedroom, we knew that we would be in the market for some plug-in wall lamps for above our nightstands. I’ve always loved the look of wall sconces but in full transparency adding additional hard wired electrical was not really an option for us living in a 100 year old house with lath, plaster, etc. So the next best option was to find a wall lamp that had a clear cord, is we could minimize the appearance of a cord at all.

You may think the search for a wall lamp with a clear cord isn’t so difficult to find but I’m telling you, this option of lighting is quite limiting. That’s why I’ve posted a full blog post sourcing a handful of wall lamps with clear cords so that if you, like me, can’t hard wire new sconces into your space, you have some more options to choose from.

When choosing these lights, I was not only looking for something with a clear cord but a statement piece of sorts that could stand on it’s own, like a piece of decor, and compliment the color of our bedroom (*Roycroft Bottle Green by SW for reference). This wall lamp not only fit the bill but was very budget friendly as well.
