Plug-In Wall Lamps With Clear Cords

If you’ve been following the home decor trends in 2020, you know that wall sconces/wall lamps have become all the rage these days. Everyone either has them or wants them. And it’s no wonder, they are not only extremely functional but beautiful as well. They are like their own piece of wall art.

The only problem wall sconces need to be hardwired, which tends to be a bit more complicated if you live in an old house that has lath, plaster, and a maze of an electrical system (can you hear the angst and frustration in my writing!?). So sometimes you have to get clever, am I right? Wall lamps (are basically wall sconces but have the “plug-in” option) are perfect for those of us that can’t take on the task of hardwiring a sconce into our desired location. But the thing about wall lamps is the hideous cord that often runs from the bottom of the wall lamp to the outlet.

When refinishing our bedroom I went on the hunt for a wall lamp that was a little more, let’s just say, modest. I didn’t want to break the bank finding the right light, I didn’t want the appearance of a black cord running down our walls and I didn't want the added cost of a cord cover either. Let me just spare you the time and energy and tell you right here and now, there are NOT a lot of options out there for these qualifications. So I put together a list of sconces with a CLEAR cord instead; ones that are functional, cost efficient, and sleek.
