How To Accessorize The Bump

I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving! I write this as I sit watching snow fall outside the window of my childhood home and blare Christmas tunes, feeling all cozy inside as I’m sure many of you have transitioned into these last few days (or weeks!). In today’s blogpost I am sharing all about how to accessorize the ever growing baby bump while still maintaining comfort and style. More specifically this post is brought to you by one of my favorite boutiques here in Central Illinois and that is the Prairie Gardens & Jeffrey Alans boutique.

If you missed my last PG and JA clothing hall, you can catch it [HERE]. But one things I love to focus on in my pregnancies is finding clothing that makes me feel good throughout my entire pregnancy and after. So whether they be maternity clothing or not, I want them to fit in a way that leaves me feeling confident and comfortable. And I love that here at Prairie Gardens and Jeffrey Alans I can find just that! So today I’m going to be sharing with you, four of my most favorite “bump friendly” outfits and how I accessorize them.

*Remember new styles are ALWAYS coming and going at the boutiques located at the Prairie Gardens & Jeffrey Alans stores. So hurry in to their store to shop these styles while supplies last.

CHENILLE HOODED CARDI

OUTFIT #4

OUTFIT #1: LAYERED DENIM

When I saw this denim jacket at their boutique I just had to have it! It’s unique because of it’s large sleeves that never tapper at the end, making layering easy and comfortable. No tight arms or feeling like you’re squeezing into your jacket here! Although this jacket has buttons, it zips up the middle making bundling up a bit more convenient, while adding another fun element to the jacket itself.

Underneath I’ve layered on with their olive green 2-in-1 vest. These babies are AMAZING and can be wore TWO different ways! Wear it long in the back or flip it around and create a bit of a shorter look. And it’s only $24.97 and comes in SO many different colors (black, gray, cream, blue, mauve, etc). Also, I can’t not mention these black jeggings enough. They have been the MOST comfortable fit this pregnancy. Even though they aren’t maternity pants they fit low enough around my waist that I can continue to button them with ease! Their stretch and comfort is to die for. And again, they come in so many different colors!

Last but not least, these gold rod earrings are only $3.97! You guys NEED to have this as one of your accessories this season!

OUTFIT #2: BUFFALO CHECK FLANNEL WITH ELBOW PADS

I have been dying to find a good black & white buffalo check flannel (only $29.97) this season and I’m so glad I came to Prairie Gardens because they have the perfect one in stock. AND it comes in red and black as well! These oversized shirts are great for layering underneath to keep you feeling extra cozy in the coming cold months. I am wearing a size small and still have so much room to grow. And did you see these fun brown elbow pads!? I absolutely love that detail on this shirt!

And again, I’m wearing my favorite black jeggings (because they go with EVERYTHING!). Also, one of my main attractions to the PG and JA boutique is there selection of wide brim felt hats. If you know me, you know I love a good hat to spice up my outfits (or to cover up my dirty hair!). And this black wide brim felt hat JUST made my collection and for only $9.97! That’s a steal of a deal!

OUTFIT #3: COZY STRIPES

If you’re looking for a good soft and cozy sweater this season then this is it! And for only $34.97. I love how oversized this fit is, not only for my growing belly but because in general I love oversized sweaters so I can wear jeans OR leggings with them and not have to worry about it’s length. This sweater is not only cozy but extremely light-weight, making it easy to layer with as well!

Here I am wearing one of my favorite pair of earrings, they are a layered gold and silver metal triangle and for only $7.97! You guys won’t be able to match these deals anywhere else, I’m telling you!

OUTFIT #4: CHENILLE HOODED CARDI WITH SUEDE DETAIL

When I saw this chunky chenille hooded cardigan I knew I had to have it! This has been one of my go to “throw-ons” already this season because of its sheer weight and comfort. Dress it up or down, you choose! This piece truly allows you to grow your belly bump because of it’s open front. I love to even wrap this sweater around my belly when I’m feeling extra cold and because of it’s oversized-ness it allows you to do that! And don’t you love that fun suede string stitching detail??

This pair of earrings is another favorite of mine! They remind me of a hand made pair I got from a shop in Michigan but they are more than half the price at only $3.97! I wear them constantly and love the uniqueness they possess. They are a statement in and of themselves. Also, I paired this outfit with another unique jewelry piece from the PG boutique, this gold and rusted copper long necklace. I love how fun and versatile this piece is! Hurry in to grab these jewelry gems!

I hope you enjoyed this edition of “How To Accessorize The Bump” as much as I did creating it!
