The Power of Pattern Play In A Space
I wanted to do a fun post about the power of patterns in a space by showcasing the same “base” pieces (i.e. couches, and accents chairs) and mixing in different textiles, colors, and textures. My hope is to demonstrate to you just how truly impactful textures, patterns, and colors have in a single space.
So take the above moodboard graphics as an example. I’ve used the same couches, and the same accent chair and I’ve swapped out the rugs, ottomans, pillow covers, a few of the hard finishes (i.e. coffee table, side tables, etc) and some of the light fixtures.
Right away the look and feel of the graphics is completely different right? And yet we’re looking at the same foundation!
This is the power of pattern play and color! They are absolutely instrumental in creating the overall look and feel of a space. THEY make the vibe entirely!
So think about the next time you want to buy a new couch or a new accent chair! Sometimes it’s simply swapping out your rug and a few pillow covers and you have a completely new look and feel to your living space.
