Guest Room Makeover: How To Create Natural Light In A Basement Bedroom
For the last month and a half, as I prepare for this next baby, I had the opportunity to work with an amazing client to help fill and furnish her basement guest bedroom. For this project she really wanted to create a space that her kids could feel comfortable and cozy in when they came to visit her.
The challenge with this space was that, because it was in the basement it didn't have any natural light coming in so when piecing together my design elements for this room I wanted to make sure I was able to brighten up the space in a way that made up for that loss of light.
The upside to this space was we were working with a completely blank canvas! She picked Benjamin Moore's, Revere Pewter for the walls and from there it was a go to create a fresh space.

Here are some "before" pictures of the entire space.
LITERALLY, a blank canvas right?!
Here are some "after" pictures of this room completely transformed!
My client loved the look of the bright white and neutral tones but knew she wanted to anchor it with some natural wood tones as well. That's where these beautiful antique dresser's come into play. They were the perfect way to add balance to this white space.
That's a wrap folks! If you want to recreate this look, take a look at the source list below!
