My Basic Style Go To's
Fashion has always been a love of mine and not because I am some sort of renowned "fashionista," actually, I can't stand to wear anything that makes me want to take it off the minute I step foot in my house. I just like good ol' classic (and cheap) pieces that I will wear rain or shine but that I feel confident and beautiful in. It's quite basic really, both literally and figuratively. When I'm shopping I always gravitate to the super trendy, eye catching pieces that are "oh so adorable" but then I ask myself...
How often will I really wear this? Is it appropriate for multiple occasions? Is it practical? And is it affordable?
If I answered yes to all these questions then most likely I will purchase that item. If not, then I take that as a sign that I can definitely be content living without this item.
This (pictured above) is actually one of my go-to outfits. It's basic, it's comfy, it's stylish, and it's affordable. Plus, I can mix and match all of these pieces with other items in my closet, allowing me to wear and re-wear everything seamlessly.
These Urban Outfitter jeans I wear almost everyday and they were only $69! I actually love that they aren't super stretchy. Don't get me wrong I love a good stretch in my jeans but I've found that over time those jeans don't hold up as long, and they take so many washes to get them fitting the way they did when I first bought them. I'm such a low maintenance jean owner that I have to go with what's gonna get me by the longest :)
And these faux suède slip on flats from Target are one of the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. They never gave me a blister, or aggravation! I call that a #WIN. And I also wear them with soooo many pieces in my closet.
This waffle knit long sleeve tee is also from Target but I couldn't find it online anymore (I actually found it in the pajama section) but it is as basic as they come and super comfortable! I found a similar one at Urban Outfitters for triple the price. And I've linked it just to show you the material. You can't beat Target and I'm so sad I can't find it!.
You can shop the full look below! Happy Spring & don't be afraid to ask a question in the comments section below!
As always, thanks for stopping by! xoxo, Tessa
